Bob Pearce, the
founder of World Vision, used to say, "Let my heart be broken
with that which breaks the heart of God". Surely Christian
hearts are broken by the suffering of all of the the people of Haiti
affected by the recent devastating earthquake. In
our own fellowship, one Eglise du Christ (Church of Christ) lost
150 members. Of course tens of thousands of others have
been lost, hurt or orphaned. Are you moved?
Would you like to help?
Below are three
Church-Related Ministries taking help in the name of Christ to
those who are suffering.
Healing Hands International
The
Redondo Beach Church of Christ usually partners with this
international Christian relief ministry to help bring needed
assistance in the name of Christ to suffering people.
Healing Hands International is working hard to respond to needs
of the the people of Haiti. To make a contribution
and/or for information (including TV news coverage of their
work), visit their site: http://www.hhi.org or
call them at (615) 832-2000. You can also make
donations to Healing Hands International through the Redondo
Beach Church of Christ. I.e. make checks payable to the RB
